Where has the time gone. I have been drafting my web site now for nearly two weeks. I thought I would have it published by now. P-Day has come and gone so many times and I still haven't shared it yet!!
Oh, just realised where the time has gone. We have been babysitting our granddaughter for 5 days while her mum and dad (Mr and Ms Cheese) went to Melbourne to see Radio Head. Who is Radio Head? we asked - you wouldn't know says Mr Cheese they don't play on the radio station you listen to???? Radio we say, what's that?? Oh, you mean the wireless!
Well Radio Head was fabulous, they had a wonderful time and Mr PP and I did as well. Our granddaughter is a delightful girl and we love having her stay. Hope she will be back soon, we miss Tinkerbell.
This morning I had a surprise visit from a wonderful friend who we lovingly know as Wilson. Wilson is on an Aussie adventure with her partner Dox. She dropped back into SA to surprise a friend for her 50th birthday and decided to surprise me as well. Wilson is a beautiful lady and we all miss her a lot. It was great to spend a couple of hours over coffee and lunch on the PP deck, chatting about her adventures. Mr PP and I will try and catch up with Wilson and Dox somewhere beyond the black stump so that we can camp together and share a Brown Brothers or two. In the meantime we love to follow their adventures and keep in touch with FaceBook.
Which makes me wonder - how did we ever stay in touch before the internet? I just love it!! FaceBook especially is a wonderful way to keep in touch with family and friends who are interstate and overseas without having to write letters or spend copious $$$ on telephone calls. And, the bonus is you can share instant photos. How lucky we are! I just won't listen to all those who try to can it.
And the shopping...well I have embraced online shopping with a vengence - I can shop till I drop and then just keep on shopping while lying down. Hahahaha. I have been wanting to purchase my dream kitchen machine for some time now, and today I took the plunge and ordered it online. Yep, I ordered an Empire Red KitchenAid Artisan Mixer. I can't wait to receive it and start making all sorts of yummy (non-fattening??) stuff!! So please, dear reader, if you have a favourite (non-fattening??) recipe that I can try out in my 'Red Devil', please send it to me using contact us. I would love to share some recipes and recreations in my blog.
Shopping, yes, that reminds me. When I was going out yesterday to pick up a parcel from the Post Office, I saw a couple of koalas hanging out in a roadside tree near my house. They were very beautiful. Typically, the big one - boy no doubt - was lazing in the fork of the tree having a snooze. Further up out on a limb was the smaller of the two lying over the branch with 'her' legs dangling down each side. Looked pretty cool. I grabbed my iPhone and took photos without my glasses on. When I got home to download the photos so I could put them on my blog, all I managed to get was a half-second snip of video - useless. Why did the designers of the iPhone put the video button right next to the camera button. I do this so many times and it is so frustrating. Does anyone else have these problems with their iPhone 4s camera? So, when you are out driving in Aus, please take care - the koalas are out and about at the moment, lots are being seen next to the roads and sometimes even sitting in the middle of the road watching the cars drive either side of them. Catch you again soon!! xx
